One thing a lot of people miss is just getting a 1-5gal air compressor.
You can find them at Sears, Home Depot, etc. and they're about $100 and portable. Something like: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...lo ckType=G14 You just get the all-purpose kit that goes with it for about $20 (blow gun/tire chuck, etc- it may even come with these) and you're all set. I use it around my home for: - filling my tires - cleaning my coffee grinder - cleaning dust out of electronic components. It's pretty handy to have around. Far better than buying the compressed air cans and more versatile (and powerful) than the plug-in item shown on this weeks show. |

An air compressor is something that slips into a desk drawer or a tool box nicely
... but at least you wont get carded buying a compressor, unlike a can of compressed air.

If using an air compressor you would use to blow up your tires or paint you house may fine for those duties, using them on you computer and other electronics is a no no. When you compress air, you also compress the moisture that is the air. Blowing that on your electronics will shorten the devices life.
You can get things called air dryers, they take the moisture out of the compressed air. Be sure to use one of those if using an air compressor to clean out your electronics. |
