I was really enjoying uncanny x-men and wolverine and the x-men. That is until the whole crossover thing happened. Now I am forced to read comics I have no interest in reading. I really don't like the avengers, to me when ever they are involved the story is less interesting. The avenger's stories usually consist of them throwing a lot of muscle at a global disaster most of the time. I guess that formula works for the majority of comic book readers but not for me. That is why I am loving ultimate x-men right now. The political stuff and the absolute dire situation our heros are facing is both fascinating and thrilling.
I think crossovers should be kept short and sweet like the recent exile event that happened in journey into mystery and new mutants. I don't care for new mutants but hey it was only a couple of issues so why not. It accomplished the job of exposing me to new comics I wouldn't bother picking up else wise. Oh well, I'm off to power through av vs x-men. Hopefully I am pleasantly surprised.

So I take back what I said. I've read a lot of the Avengers vs X-men stuff and I like it. It's just that it's hard to trust cross overs after having put so much effort into reading Fear itself and Ultimatum only to be let down. I don't want to go through that again.
having convos with myself on an internet forum...I've hit a new low.
