Question Everything but???

If you had everything in place, script, story boards, cast, sets, and locations but the funding for the camera you wanted fell through and you were left with a single Canon T3i and some lens.

Would you scrap the whole project or shoot with what you had?

That all depends on what your shooting and whether or not you don't mind the artifacts that the T3i will introduce. Since the T3i doesn't have a native HD chip, if you have repeating patterns such as brick you can get moire patterns and or chromatic aberrations. If you won't be shooting that type of footage or don't mind those artifacts, go right ahead and use the T3i. I'm just going to assume that the other camera had a sensor with native HD pixel dimensions. The output is actually fairly decent, are there any particular reasons why you wouldn't want to shoot with the T3i?

Shoot it.
The worst that happens is that the image quality isn't as crisp as you want.
Either way you've put all that effort in, and to give up now would be worse than not making it. Don't just set it aside and say you'll do it later, or it will become brain crack.
