Subwoofer distance

I've got a pioneer VSX-1121 and a Polk PSW-12 subwoofer. I'm looking at mounting the TV on the wall, and moving all my gear to a closet on the opposite side of the room. Wiring for the speakers is no prob, and I'm waffling between the monoprice redmere cables and cat 6/baluns for the tv. But, it would probably be something in the order of 40 to 50 feet of cable for the sub. I use the LFE output/inputs and cable. Is there any length limits on these cables or any other considerations I'm maybe missing? I would not be able to move the sub to another location any closer to where the receiver would be.

Normally when you're dealing with cable runs that long you want to make sure that you have a relatively thick gauge.
