Please help! Question: I have a Toshiba 42" Smart 3DTV and wanna watch 3D blu-rays (I don't own a player yet). Do I need to buy a 3D BD player to watch those movies or can I use the 3D discs in a regular BD player & have my TV cover the conversion? I can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere. Thanks.

I'm sorry, but yes to which part? I already own an Xbox 360, so I don't really wanna get a PS3. Unless I can find one cheap, that is.

Yes to needing a 3D capable BR player. A regular player will get Disc not recognised" type errors if you put a 3D disc in the unit. The PS3 seems to play more discs, and is updated far more frequently, than other players.

I signed up mainly to ask that question. Thanks for the responses. Now it's time to look for good Black Friday deals.
