I recently installed a new Sharp LC-52LE64OU and really like it. Everything looks great except when watching football in HD, the ball (on long passes, punts, etc.) gets very blurry and "flutters." I was expecting to be able to read the Commissioner's signature and see perfect spirals. Anyone know the reason or suggest settings that may improve this?

This is a common problem with HDTV's but typically only with 24 hz content such as blu-ray movies or DVDs. I would look for settings like frame interpolation or motion something. These either insert fake frames that don't exist to smooth out motion or it can be this algorithm messing with the picture that causes the problem in the first place. Generally broadcast TV at 60 hz is not a problem as almost all LCD TVs natively support this without issue but higher hz TVs do sometimes try to reinvent the wheel.
