Default TV: The Office Season Premiere, Fun Running for Rabies! (spoilers)

Is there no love for The Office on the old TRS boards? I thought a thread would be up by now but oh, well. The Office is back and funnier than ever, Pam and Jim are finally together but it took the excellent sleuthing skills of the camera crew to ferret them out. Kevin was the MVP of the first half of the show by his constant insisting that there was no way Pam and Jim were not together and his fist bump of the hospitalized Meredith, who Michael ran over with his car. Michael assumes the office is cursed and to even things out has a Fun Run for rabies, for which they raise a grand total of $700 for "Science". Michael "carbo-loads" by eating an entire serving of fettuccine alfredo and then almost passes out because of this and the fact that he doesn't drink any water. He says he wants to connect to people with rabies because they have an irrational fear of water. I love how Creed, Stanley and Oscar just take a taxi and go out for drinks. Oh and Dwight kills Angela's cat by freezing it, classic. Finally all there is to say about Andy is "nipple tape". Great episode as always from The Office.

"If God doesn't exist...than what are all these churches for?"

I loved the opener, I thought it was full of hilarity and win.

I almost fell off my couch at the cold open, with Michael hitting Meredith.

I wasn't really anticipating The Office this season, but this episode reminded me why I like it. I love the straight up comedy, and I can't get enough of the lovely Miss Beasley.

I still cringe at the painfully uncomfortable situations Michael finds himself in, and I'm not a fan of the hour long episodes... but I still very much enjoyed the show tonight.

Now, when's Scrubs getting here?

"PB&J, Pam Beasley & Jim... OMG"

I frackin' loved it! Couldn't stop laughing throughout the whole premiere. Although I was a little disappointed that after all that build up in the previous seasons with Jim and Pam's relationship, they kind of play it off as no big deal in the opener for this one. But I'm definitely glad that the show is finally back on air.. it was a long summer without The Office.

The first four weeks are supposed to be hour long episodes. Just FYI.

I loved this episode. Like I do almost all of them, and I love the hour long episodes. Can't wait for next week.

Truly one of his greatest lines.

Awesome! I love the office, this is one of my favorite episodes. Especially Dwight bit. He cracks me up every time.

"Any problems? well, you left the TV on, and your cat is dead... sparkles, the white one, he's dead..."

Got to love Dwight Schrute.

"Yeah, it was on company property--with company property, actually. Double jeopardy. So, we're safe."

"I don't think you understand the concept of jeopardy, Michael."

"Right. Sorry. What is 'we're safe'?"

I was just about to quote that! But I think you got it better than me

Michael: "The doctors did all they could to save Merideth, and she's going to live." (or something like that.

Stanley: "What is wrong with you? Why'd you have to say it like that?" (In typical Stanley disgust)

The part where Michael was saying we have to live in a country where people have to get hit by cars to find out they have rabies was so funny! The entire freaking episode was so funny! Renew for ten years, please, NBC.
