Mod selection and responsiblities

Since Mods are new to rev3 boards I have a few questions. How were the mods chosen? Were they rev3 memebers that were given the responsibility or were they brought in from somewhere else with no connection to rev3? Are mods designated to specific areas or are they as a group responsible for all the forums? I think all the members deserve these answers.

i definitely agree. why are mods designated to specific threads, but other mods can be enforcers?

Hm, well, there are Admins, Global Moderators, and one moderator with powers in one forum. We are assigned specific forums but as Global Moderators we look over the entire forum, just that we have specific forums to look in first. We aren't new to the Rev3 forums, just never posted much because the plone software was uber crappy, is all.

Ok can we get a list of who is who and responsible where? So are admins higher on the food chain than mods if we have an issue with a mod and want to take it to the proper person? Ya the good ole days with crappy software. Didn't stop alot of other people from posting.

We can get that. For myself, I was assigned Diggnation, General, Infected. As Global Moderators, we look over the entire forum as a whole, as well.

It was really explained why you are chosen, how were you?

From what I have Divined from the Bovine Deity, the moderators were chosen, like the lost tribe, by the Great Divine overlord Jay, hisself. Most probably due to their heroic powers in "The Forgotten World" of forums past. These minor deities were promoted to the hallowed Valhalla Hall of Moderation due to their skills in the valiant arts of Humor, Wisdom, and Reason, otherwise known as the Three Graces.

Minor Gods, such as Jason, Loki, and Klitzy, were somehow overlooked by the Great God Jay, and now, fraught with jelousy, haunt these forums, eternal and omnipresent, seeking the Holy Grail, the Golden Fleece, the Great Omnipotence, of Forum Glory: The High Holy Post Count.

And like God and Santa, they are always there. Now. Right behind you....

Don't bother looking. They can't even see themselves in a mirror, and you can only see them in your dreams. Or your NIGHTMARES.

if you go the revision3 forums main page and go to the bottom it says "forums leaders" and you have a list of who does what, etc.
