I somehow doubt that's going to fly with the Facebook people.

Yeah, thanks for breaking the Facebook laws! Although I doubt they will notice, as some people I know have their dog as their Facebook pictures, and as far as I can tell from that entry, its a person with a dog picture. ^_^;

I don't know, I think facebook had been lower. Back when it first came out and was not only college only, but only a few more top tier colleges were in it, people would waste their .edu accounts to make FBs for fictional characters and most of everyone's friends would be in this group. That was pretty low, looking back. But at least we didn't have vampires or ninjas or whatever.

am i overly optomistic looking for internet highs not lows *sigh*

i don't do facebbok or myspace

i never do what 'everyone' is doing

you might have noticed

i like pownce though i have not yet used it much

it is more 'classy' and i feel good about inviting my friends

Thats pretty much the purpose of pownce from what I can gather. To be interesting and "have potential" but go unused.

It might be a bit more interesting if the free accounts had a bit more than a 10MB file quota, or instead a capacity quota. No one is going to pay for pownce until lots of people use it, and that won't happen unless the free offerings are enticing.

Facebook can be good. Just make sure your privacy is set up right, and avoid stupid apps like the plague. There are several firefox greasemonkey scripts that will purify facebook of that junk for you. Its important for me being a NOT very social person to have an address book that keeps it self up to date, or I'd lose track of people left and right.

I see pownce as JASS... just another social site and really doesn't hold anything really intuitive or ground breaking to the mix.

I think you have just become what is wrong with the internet.
