Hey,
Any other Mystery Science Theatre 3000 fan club members receive a postcard in the mail asking us to visit mst3k.com? It looks like the guys on the Satellite of Love (S.O.L.) are gonna start with some new animations. I watched this show religiously and it always made me laugh, sometimes for days. I still love seeing a movie they watched and remembering all the expertly crafted, witty one-liners. I had a stack of VHS tapes up to my chest with these taped from Comedy Central and then the SciFi Network. It was always worth watching episodes over and over. You never caught every joke on the first round of viewing. Anyone else a fan? Anyone excited about the idea of these guys getting back to work? Later, Wes |

Oh. My. God. This would be awesome. I was too young to watch every episode religiously but I do remember the show and I have seen a few recently.

I was a huge fan back when it was on TV. I used to boogart the TV on Sunday mornings because that was the only time it was on.
That being said, I really don't know about that site. The animation they had up was... different, and not very funny. If that's the route the site is going, I'm not to sure I'll be up for it.

I do know a lot of the best episodes are on DVD now. |

I really have to break down and more of those DVDs too!
As far as the videos go, isn't that referring to the old segments they put up? There are only a few as of right now, but I'm sure they'll be more. Those at least will be good for the nostalgia aspect.

I'm not sure about Joel but Mike, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett are doing Rifftrax and The Film Crew. The Film Crew does old movies like MST3K and Rifftrax are alternate commentaries for DVDs including Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars, Top Gun, Independence Day, Daredevil, 300, Raiders of the Lost Ark and more. Oh and guest riffers show up sometime too like Fred Willard, Neil Patrick Harris and Chad Vader. So MST3K lives on in a slightly different form.

I love MST3K! You can still find old episodes posted on usenet all the time. I've bought several of the collections, but $60 for 4 episodes is a bit steep.
I love the Rifftrax stuff. It's a great way for them to make fun of bigger movies without having to bother getting the rights to do so. |

Those shows were hilarious. There commentary on movies could keep me laughing for hours. I remember one episode, specifically, where they were making fun of a stop-motion scene from a movie. I nearly died. I've been meaning to pick up the DVDs, but I'm pretty sure they're really overpriced, considering there's like 15 of them.
