Default Fables Help

So i just started reading Fables, and i am loving it. I just have one question though, when should i start reading Jack of Fables? I'm sure that if i start reading it after the second trade of Fables it wont make any sense. And isn't there also some sort of event book? Any chronological help would be much appreciated, and also any insight you comic book veterans may have. Thanks much!

There's a very specific issue where Jack of Fables branches off from Fables. You'll know it when you get there.

After that, Jack's story and the main Fables story don't really interact, so you can read them in whatever order you like.

I think the event book that you're thinkin' of is 1001 Nights of Snowfall... that's not so much an "event book" as something that you can read if you feel like it. That being said, I highly recommend reading it since it's awesome
