best online news sources ?
please tell me your opinion of best online news sites
when i watched tv and peter jennings was alive i watched abc but the website is too  much britney spears and suchmsnbc is better but still not great thx

www.news.com.au - check this a couple of time each day. Coverage of world events that don't involve American interests in the international section.
www.bbc.co.uk - they "invented" world news coverage, and still do the best job of covering it. www.cnn.com - because sometimes you need to know that Britneys sister has just displaced a masacre in Kenya as the story people really care about. www.npr.com - deeper commentary on specific topics.

Live coverage video is cnn.com hands down.
And wouldn't you know it - the top story at news.com.au is actually Britney Spears collapsing and being taken to hospital. Someone should lock the drama queen up, throw away the key, and let the somewhat saner Fed-ex raise the kids with some sort of moral compass.

CNN covered Anna Nicole Smith's death non-stop for hours at a time without commercial breaks. If you want the quality content (i.e. no commercials), then CNN wins, hands down.
