Default Pixel Perfect, Episode 4: Type Treatments [discussion]

looks like they're trying to reach less experienced photoshoppers in this latest episode and i'm all for that. i think the more advanced lighting techniques and whatnot probably go over a lot of viewers heads.

I'm loving the consistent quality content that this show is providing. Its the best of the pilot shows; its radically different than the other comedy-driven shows and still entertaining and informative.

Bingo. You just said what I've been trying to pinpoint, and haven't been able to put into words.

With the exception of NotMTV and the seemingly non-existent Systm, this is the only non-comedy-centric show on Rev3 (right now), and it's actually shaping up to be my favorite.

Not that comedy is bad, or anything, and I can't see a time where I'd ever stop watching Diggnation, but this show proves that TV on the Web can cut across the whole spectrum of what traditional TV has to offer.

Bert, if you're reading this, kudos man. Keep it up.

Out of all the pilot shows, Pixel Perfect is the one that most needs to become permanent.
By being able to actually see an experienced artist use the software, it means we can see and learn and use the techniques they do in our work.
Great Show!!!

Anyone know why the h264.mov version won't open up in my quicktime?

Although I liked 1 through 3, I felt episode 4 left something to be desired. I didn't like the text effects he used, and I think the end product wasn't too desirable.

I agree. I was also a bit disappointed, I at least expected to see the way the text was made that is used as the thumbnail for the video. Some good beginner effects were shown, but this just seemed a little short. But hopefully, this was purposely a quick show, and they won't continue on like this.

And it would be nice if someone at Rev3 would get on the ball... when are we going to get the .PSD's that Bert has said will be on the site? I'm sorry, but it's only making Rev3 look bad by saying something is going to be there and it either isn't or it doesn't work. Someone should really devote some time to start fixing all these kinks... I think we've all been fair and given them plenty of time with the site switch and the launch of new shows and pilots; there aren't any excuses anymore guys. You want to be a business, so be one. You're only hurting yourselves.
