Default Stretched?

Being that PixelPerfect is a show so heavily focused on design, why do they stretch the 4:3 resolution on Bert's screen to fit the 16:9 aspect ratio of the podcast? Is anyone else noticing this?

I don't think it's always been like this--only recently have I noticed it. When he says "Draw a circle like this," it is clearly not a circle because the video has been stretched!

C'mon revision3 guys, you have to know that this isn't cool for a design show, right!?

You will see a difference starting with episode 65.

I'm thinking that they shoot multiple episodes at a time (in one day), so multiple episodes will have the same problems. Although the stretching and mouse trails seem like problems that can easily be fixed "in post"...

Out of curiosity. What caused the trails? Compression?
