New here there should be an introductions forum!
whats everyones fav show then?

Well, I've also mentioned before that there should be a forum for introductions, but it was vetoed in favor of newbs just jumping right in. I still say there should be an intro forum. Hell, even old members could post an intro thread. Intro sections are handy.

My favorite show is DiggNation.

First, that is TRS rather than the forum in general. Second, a single thread for all introductions defeats the purpose when threads around here have the tendency to deviate and result in people ignoring them and missing intros. An Introduction section under the General header would be beneficial as it allows at a quick glance for us oldies to see new members who want to say hi and who maybe have a few questions. Otherwise intro posts are just randomly posted outside the one or two long threads.

Agreed, there should be one in 'general', however, TRS is visited by more ppl than any of the others.

Um, no, that's exactly what it's for, so there aren't a tonne of seperate threads of introductions. The result is, that everyone knows the 'introduction thread' and it's full of ppl introducing themselves and being welcomed. And it's never deviated. An entire forum of threada that say, "hi I'm Tim", and "hi, I'm Sally".... wouldn't work at all. Introdcutions don't really create covnersations, I infact, find the introduction thread pointless. The way to introduce yourself is to contribute to something specific. I only look at the 'introduciton' thread to see if there are any girls aged 17.5-19 who have their pic in their avatar or links to their home address.

Apart from the location, I don't see the difference between that and how the current thead is used. I've read every single introduction in that thread as it was entered. Just based on what you say, you want one thread. An entire forum wouldn't yield, 'a quick glance'.

Don't really know what that's supposed to mean.
