Lots of chatter out there that CNet has or is about to purchase Rev3 for $57 million.
Good, bad, indifferent, untrue? If it turns out to be true, congrats to Jay, Prager, Kevin and anyone else with a stake. Pay day is always the best day. ![]() |

I would hope not as they are the same bastards who own Gamespot and ran that place into a hole and had the whole gerstman gate and later all the best employees left.
I don't want to see another buy out and the corp take over thing ....gives bad memories of another thing with Tech TV. Last edited by Ryudo : 03-16-2008 at 03:46 AM. |

If CNET bought it I'd stop coming here. Their stories are really bad. Their language is bad. I can't take them serious. |

That's a ton of money if it's true. I've yet to see any official news from either side on this, but saw a tweet from Robert Scoble about it.

-Confirmed False-
Robert Scoble is reporting this on his Twitter account. He said he will provide more details soon. Scoble's reporting this site as being the site that broke it: http://r3fresh.com/2008/03/14/breaki...or-57-million/ This is untrue. Jay Adelson says: "Normally, we don't comment on rumors and speculation about acquisition. But no. (What is it with you people? You're giving me a heart attack.") Scoble retracts erroneous Tweet. Here is the screencap of the twitter exchange that started all of this. I grabbed it from the Digg discussion.
