Cooking something, not sure what, and hot grease splashed all up my arm. That burned like a mofo. Had my arm wrapped up for a couple of weeks. Wasn't bad enough to scar, but damn did it hurt.
Another time, when I was 11-12, a friend was coming over to my house one hot day in July. He seemed to be taking far too long so I walked out, barefoot, onto the newly paved, still black, road. Was bed-ridden for a couple days, and had my feet in wraps from the burns. Slight scarring from that. In the third grade I broke my wrist, which hurt a lot then. Don't think it would be as big a deal if it happened now. A couple of years ago on vacation I got warts on the bottom of my feet. We tried the medication and burning them off, neither of which worked. A doctor, who is otherwise a great doctor, set he had an "alternative" way of dealing with them. His method? Freeze my feet and jab toothpicks into the warts and twist them around for 90 seconds. Then he'd pull them out and wrap them in duct tape. I went about a month where I just couldn't walk from the pain before I told him it was bullshit, and I wasn't going to keep doing it. Eventually they dealt with themselves. This probably wins for most painful.

When I was little I placed my hand on kerosene heater and when I went to lift my hand off, it left my palm on the heater.
I broke my little finger playing kickball. I broke my toe kicking a block of marble at least it went air borne and went about 6 feet. Last edited by xibalba : 05-15-2008 at 01:38 AM. |

I was someone who HATED leaving their books in their locker in school because I always thought that for some reason I might need them. Well, one day in winter, my book bag is SUPER heavy mind you, I step out of my Dad's work van for school and then SMACK. I slip on a patch of ice and smack my face on the pavement and ripped my bottom lip open, blood everywhere. My lip started to heal by the time we got done waiting in the hospital only to have it ripped open again by the doctor and get 10 stitches.
Also, what I actually mentioned in a thread some time ago, I went to try and dunk a basketball in work (Toys "R" Us) and came down perfectly fine but something felt weird. The next day I was in EXCRUCIATING PAIN and my ankle was shaking on it's own. I never went to the hospital for it and have been meaning to because now my ankle does a sort of popping sound and from time to time I have to crack it when I wake up in the morning. I still have to see a doctor about that.

A story of me inflicting pain:
When I was younger I always used to hang out with this kid that lives down the street. One day we were in his back yard, and we found his dads golf clubs. We were hitting some balls at his fence, and his babysitters daughter came out. I kept telling her to move, and to move, and to move, and she just wouldn't. I told her that if she didn't move in ten seconds I was going to swing anyways. She started backing up at like eight, and so I swung. The club caught just under her ear and ripped a bone straight through her neck. Gruesome.

Back when I was in high school I developed a bladder infection that spread and, suffice it to say, lefty swelled up to about the size of a golf ball for roughly a week.

A couple of weeks ago I feel down the stairs. It was about 5 am, nobody was home to hear me weep. I slipped and feel like 5feet straight down on my back/head and I think I was unconscious for a while (don't remember me landing, all I remember is pain). FYI: All of my socks have now stars underneath them (you know, like babies have) |

When I was about six I broke both of the bones in my wrist. At the hospital they gave me a shot to fall asleep so the doctor could situate my bones (they were all outta whack), for some reason I decided to fight falling asleep, so I was awake when he set the bones and that pain was far, far worse then breaking it in the first place.
