Default cant get ATI TV wonder 650 PCIe working

so I bought a ATI TV wonder 650 PCIe-1x tuesday and can not get the card to work. ive tryed the drivers on the CD and the latest drivers on AMD/ATI's website. I've tryed to setup windows media center software and AMDs cmc(?) software, and neither programs can see any signal from ANT in and cable in. Is there any tests that i can run to see whats not really working, or is there any special drivers i should give a try? and what is the DOA rate on the card? and am i ♥♥♥♥ed that my monitors don't have HDCP?

Do you get a "No Signal" message or just a blank player window?

Are you plugging the coaxil into the correct tuner? Do you have the proper signal?

I've had nothing but problems with my ATi TV Wonder card and it doesn't even work in Vista. AMD/ATi doesn't update their software and there's no where else you can get the CMC software except what comes with your CD (unless you want to buy a new copy from them for like $20).

The TV Wonder is one of the worst products AMD/ATi has ever produced. I'm sorry I wasted my money on it.

I get

"Cannot Play Program
The channel may not be supported. If you cannot tune in any other channel,
restart WMC or restart the computer, then try again"

i get that with every channel in WMC and thru AMD/ATI;s software i just get a black screen for every channel.

and ive tryed putting the coax(basic/extended cable thru COX) to both tuners and the attena to both tuners and still no good.

And i think I've lost the receipt for the tuner....

Dumb question - are you sure that the cable you are plugging into is active? Not all jacks are active, indeed cable companies will often only activate (who are they kidding - all they do is put a splitter in) cables that are going to devices.

Did the AiW come with an external antennae (my Pinnacle Extreme did)? Do you get free to air programming - HD or otherwise?

didnt know there was such a thing as wmc graphics card drivers, i just used the drivers provided by ATI/AMD for Vista 64bit. Not a dumb question i would also ask it, but i know the coax is on because that's how i normally get cable to my TV. The card didn't come with an external antennae but i did purchase one made by Philips, WMC said there was very low signal on all antennae channels.

Some pvr programs under windows require .net or a run module to be loaded before it will work.
