Introducing Qore: Taking you behind the curtain with PlayStation
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/...h-playstation/ $2.99 for a single episode and $24.99 for an annual subscription of 13 episodes. Does it mean we are going to pay for the demo in the future? How do they decide what demo to be free and what demo to be part of the Qore service. Anyone interested in it? Last edited by jasonpoon : 06-03-2008 at 12:26 PM. |

hmmm... seems like it can be cool, but the content, other than the behind the scenes, can be gotten elsewhere for free.
I might get it when I get my ps3, will prolly get a year and see if it is worth continuing...

They want us to pay for the stuff they give to us for free now?
(Bill Hicks-esque laugh) Sony better not forget that their service being free is a major drawing point, and this looks like them just starting up a stealth subscription fee.

yeah it probably is... but if it is an all inclusive show for my gaming needs, similar to any magazine that i would buy on the shelf but in video form... it might be worth it. it isn't like it is expensive... besides the network is still free, just the show costs money, so if it sucks I can gladly cancel it.

interesting concept, but I guess its still a bit pricey for a distribution via the net and the fat that they promote themselves all the time. I get what shegs says about buying a magazine etc, but as for me... I wouldn't buy a ps3 mag anyway. its all out there online for free anyway. and sony should do it for free as to push their quite unpopular network I'd think.
the more I think about it the more I think it should be free.

A HD magazine could be good. Maybe some insights into firmware development or home or dealing with controversial titles, etc...
but. I will not pay to watch their advertisements. If its just going to be snippets of blu ray movie trailers and game cutscenes with heavy metal guitar solos in the background and veronica belmont talking about how awesome and exciting the games will be... We already have gametrailers, ign, ps3fanboy, and trs. Sorry to be so cynical but I hate being marketed to ![]() |

Seems like this could go in one of two ways. The show could be really cool and people who subscribe could get some really cool different content.
Or I can see them slowly moving their way into a way for people to pay for some things they might have otherwise given away for free and moving into an Xbox Live system. |

lame.... though congrats to VB for getting a new gig. But on the serious, why the hell would i pay for something that amounts to an extended infomercial for the ps3. also paying for exclusives demos = lame. i thought demos were supposed to a free way for gamers to check out a game to see whether its good or not. theres no way i would ever pay for a demo, even if its something along the lines of GT5:P.
