Default Anyone else have food allergies?

Okay, so I totally love Alex and Heather, but I have yet to watch an episode (I have all of them), because well i'm allergic to milk and everything that goes with it, cheese, yogurt, etc. and like all their episodes have been about stuff that are high in this stuff... just wondering if i'm alone on this...

One of my wife's young cousins as the same problem. Trace amounts of dairy will put her in the hospital.

What happens if you don't know you had milk? Serious question.

There are milk substitutes out there, correct? And is it the dairy as a whole itself or a certain part of the milk?

It depends on the allergy.

You can be allergic to the proteins. In that case, soy products are ok.

I can tell you within 20 minutes of accidentally having any milk product, that's why at home we keep liquid benedryl on hand, it great for that... I also have an inhaler I carry just in case...

Yeah, i can have soy milk no problem, they think i might be allergic to some antibiotic or something that they give to cows that stays in their milk, I also tend to not be able to take calcium supplements, as they make me sick as well... so sometime this year I really need to go the allergist...

If it may be an antibiotic, what happens with organic milk?

man that totally sucks... i know what you mean, once you get sick like that, you try to avoid it, I got food poisoning at Olive Garden the first time i ate there, so it's not my favorite place, i've actually only been there one other time...

I think that I am allergic to aspertaime or nutrasweet... anything diet. FIgures that I can't eat something that isn't going to add extra pounds. I end up feeling real sick after I eat anything with it.
