In honour of the newest Indiana Jones flick, which film is best? (sorry temple of doom)
I've found that people in my age group (20-25) love the last crusade best, while older fans prefer the first film. In my opinion, LC has everything Raiders has and more, plus it does it better AND it has Sean Connery. Origin story: check edge of your set adventrue: check tank fight: check hitler: check Best indy ever

i think the only real argument to be made for Raiders is the fact that it was the first, so yes, it did set the bar. but i think LC tops it in every way. The ONLY thing that even comes close is the opening sequence, but even then in LC you have Indy in the catacombs of Venice and in the Holy Grail cave, and both are brilliant scenes

Last Crusade is a much glossier, Hollywood movie. It's more fun, and action packed because we already know the characters. It's shot better and has a much more talented cast. Connery is a god and this one movie made him an Uber-God in my mind.
Sadly, Raiders is the best movie of all time.

LC is my choice. Indy vs. Nazi's is classic. I love when they are escaping Germany in the tandem motorcycle.

I just got done watching Raiders of the Lost Arc the other week in anticipation of the movie. I'm making my way slowly through the trilogy. If I recall, I do like Raiders better than Last Crusade although I couldn't tell you why...
When I finish the trilogy, maybe I'll be able to actually have something worthwhile to say in this thread.

Last Crusade was my least favorite of the three. Felt tired and the ending wasn't particularly exciting. I'm in the minority here I know. Temple of Doom gets a bad rap but it's a fun film.
