Default Episode 86 - Mark Millar & Tony Harris [Discussion]

The superstar comic book creative team of Mark Millar (Civil War, Wolverine, Fantastic Four) and Tony Harris (Ex-Machina, Starman) come to the Isotope in San Francisco to celebrate the release of their new creator-owned book, War Heroes, published by Image Comics. Ron was at the party and sat down with both Millar and Harris to talk War Heroes and funny books.

Click here to watch this episode!

Mark Millar, the writer of Civil War and currently Wolverine and Fantastic Four, joined forces with artist Tony Harris, famous for his work on Starman and Ex-Machina to tell the tale of super powered army soldiers in War Heroes, but that's not all that's discussed! No True Believers, listen as Tony Harris talks about his legendary run on Starman and his current pride and joy, Ex-Machina. Hear the behind the scenes stories of the Wanted movie and the upcoming Kick-Ass movie from Mark Millar, as well as his opinion of creator owned work vs. publisher owned work, a hot topic in the comic book industry.

I love the toilet seat art. Neat gimmick. Seems like a really cool store. Do they always serve alcohol?

Yeah, he said it was going to be a trilogy. He said the same thing on Fan Boy Radio right after the movie was released but I wrote it off as opening week over-excitement. The fact that he's still saying it means he's serious… but I'm still skeptical that it'll actually happen.

Anyway, great episode. This is the first time I've seen Tony Harris on camera and Millar is always entertaining.

I wish Ron had asked Mark Millar what it's like to be getting paid for a book that shows a (sub) third grader's understanding of Middle Eastern sociology
