It's a tool for teaching yourself to read faster

Isn't it kind of obvious what the purpose of spreeder.com is? It's obviously used to get faster at speed reading.

I haven't seen this service until now, but am familiar with the concept. It's called Rapid Serial Visual Presentation. I had read an article a couple years back talking about how reading ebooks this way on mobile devices was the new trend in japan subways. It makes sense to read using RSVP in that context (limited screen size), but I suppose people would use it in a desktop or laptop's browser window to vary the speed to read lengthy works quickly.

This is the third week in a row where the audio gets out of sync half way through the show. Can you recheck it at least at the sponsor breaks. It really throws me off, man.

Yeah... I've been using Spreeder for a while. Many months.

I'm a very slow reader in normal form because I can't stop myself from checking every word and making sure I read it right. The spreeder format helps me skim and get the jist like normal people do.

I dunno if I buy the whole idea that you can learn to actually speed read with such a tool though.

Also, just thought I'd note, I use spreeder much less now that I have a text to speecher reader. :P

As soon as I saw the demonstration of it I thought it was a skimming aid...

It's like comparing credits that scroll from top to bottom as opposed to those that scroll/crawl across the bottom of the screen right to left. Spreeder might consider actually doing that instead of flashing each individual word... make it a bit more fluid.

Along with the new changes they should have just renamed the show "The Sarah Lane Show". My favorites are still the first few shows. I'm sad Dr. Kiki hasn't been around, if anything I would have loved to see her get her own show. I really don't care to hear about everything muxtape can do every week.
