i am having a huge issue with the download speeds of your site
id fist like to start out by saying that it has gotten worse over the past week or two

i can understand if i were downloading a show as soon as it is available but this is pretty much ANY show i try and download

what am i using is Fire Fox, nod32 virus/spyware and spybot S&D

any thoughts on this....is there a way to speed this up WITHOUT DOWNLOADING ANYTHING ELSE

oh BTW its only on this site that i am having this issue

thanks so much for the time it took for you to read this and thanks even more if you know how to fix this and are willing to let me in on a little the secret

What are you used to getting as opposed to what you're getting now? Also, I would suggest DownloadThemAll FF extension. I know you said you didn't want to download anything but I find it allows things to come down faster, and it is unobtrusive, just right click on the file and download with it.

i am used to getting them at 300-320kps.....yes i know most you guys got way faster internet than i do but this is what i have

i'll give download them all a try but i still want to know why i am getting such a slow download speed with this site alone

dosen't rev3 use something dealing with bit torrent or something like that even when downloading from there own site....no i do not want to jump through fire enhanced loops of doom just to download there shows.... i just want to right click and save as....the most i will do is the download them all thing

i wounder if anyone else is having this problem

You can get the extension here. If you don't have a specific folder for downloading your podcasts, I suggest you make one and have DTA download to there when you first install. (It's a bitch to change it other than re-installing I found, but I may be too dumb to figure it out.) Now just right click on the file you want and use the one click download option, using the other option is cumbersome, I found. Whatever your speed, it will make things faster.

As you said, it has been happening for the past week or two, so give it a little time. It could be on Rev3's side, it could be on your ISP's side. Though really, I don't think the speed you are getting now is that bad. It's still fast enough to get at a reasonable rate and visit some sites and this forum while you wait With that said, you have a right to want the speed you are used to, though I personally wouldn't sweat it.

As for the bittorrent option, that's the little wave icon next to the down arrow on the download page. I personally don't use the torrents option, but maybe try it to see if you get higher speeds there.

Your other options are going with iTunes or Miro and seeing if the speeds are faster there, but I am like you and I like to just get the download myself. Good luck, all in all, try downthemall, and wait are my suggestions.

Open up the terminal (command prompt for you Windows people), and simply type traceroute bitcast-a.bitgravity.com (or tracert bitcast-a.bitgravity.com on Windows)
