Thumbs down Discrimination Against Bears In Canada

This is just outrageous. The poor bear was just trying to buy some subs, and this is how he is treated. We need to end Bearism in this country!!! I mean in Canada.

It's actually quite insensitive considering the the clerk didn't want to serve the creature just because he was a black bear.

Precisely professor, precisely. How do we know that that bear could not pay for his meal? How do we know that he was not a fine, upstanding member of society? Instead (especially in America), we caricature bears -- like they are some mindless animals, or even worse. Consider the following...

Bears are considered as mooching freeloaders... They are seen as thieves who are always a problem to authority.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yogi_Bear

Bears are seen as useless, grouchy, and living in a delusional fantasy world.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Care_bear

Bears are also seen as having little to no education, and not only that... they are seen as being violently authoritarian. Observe...

"Big Al" as he is known, is a free-thinker of this group. He sings songs as they are. However, at the end of this "Jamboree" as they call it, he is violently silenced because his views do not conform to the views of the rest of his clan. Are bears really like this? I highly doubt it. And who is propagating this discrimination? Disney at Walt Disney World of course! I don't understand what that cameraman finds so humorous with violence between fellow bears.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_Bear_Jamboree

Disclaimer: this is a joke, do treat it as such .

No shirt, no shoes, no pants, no picker nic basket, no service.

If he'd read the sign on the way in, it wouldn't have been an issue.

And don't start on the "but inner city bears don't get the same level of education" crap ...
