Antennae mod for Mini WLAN PCMCIA card?

I am new to the forum here and would like to start off with a question. Has anyone successfully made an antennae mod for the WLAN mini cards? Why I ask is for all of the people without PCI card slots. (laptop just came with Express Card slots) So any good writeups or any replies will be greatly appreciated.
