Default Keep the Shed?

With the new "stripped down" version of Internet Superstar that is 2.0, I'm guessing that this could be a possible debate. Should Rev3 keep the shed? Well, I decided to make a preemptive thread. I didn't think a poll was necessary here, since I believe well written responses could prove more insightful. On one hand the whole shed thing has a completely unprofessional feel, and in no way takes itself seriously. On the other hand....it's Martin Sargent. Part of his charm is NOT taking everything seriously, and he is the "Director of Comedic Programming" after all. It's a quirkiness that works and I believe is easily digestible for most new viewers. Therefore it is my opinion that the shed should remain a fixture in the Revision 3 studio. What do y'all think?

Why would they bulldoze the shed?

I would not mind if Martin's mom bulldozed the shed and built a proper studio of some sort.

Keep the shed. I didn't digg it at first, but I've grown attached. Besides, it has more character than any other typical studio set could have.

While I do love the shed, it seems more representative of the old style show. Call me the devil's advocate but I really like the new format of the show (not that I didn't like the old). I'm a big fan of both Martin and Jay so anything they do will pretty much rock my socks.

I would love... Love... LOVE to see a true return to form of an "Unscrewed with Martin Sargent" style show.

Also whatever happened to Laura Swisher? She was Hot-larious.

I'm sure the shed studio cost a pretty decent amount of money to make. I doubt Revision3 would eat the cost of a design do-over since it really doesn't have that big of an impact on the show.

What's interesting is, he portrays himself as someone who is being constantly browbeaten and unappreciated... I mean... I think most of us can identify with that.... which, is why it works. But, I wish they would go back to the old Unscrewed format. The M man and Gator/Jay are entertaining.

That and his weird ass comments about various people like Kevin and Jim Louderback are classic. This kind of programming is really what it's all about, IMO.

Keep the shed or don't, but keep making shit that tickles my rock collection.

The shed already exploded, and was back the next week just fine with no explanation. But there are other questions.

Why isn't Jay part of some interviews? He can be a sidekick for some guests but not others? There should be consistency.

It's also very weird hearing the same intro every episode. Just plain bonkers? What kind of weak watered down intro is that?

The 5 minutes segments with Martin and Jay on the couch would be fine...if the episode didn't end after 5 minutes. That's why a talk show needs to be longer. A Tech News Ticker story and Tech Around the Globe bit is not an episode, it's a part of one. All you have to do is combine the 5 daily segments, and you have one complete show. Why it's split apart, I really don't know.

...be nice if they did a 'Shed Improvement Show' with a kinda' Bob Villa slash 'This Old' Shed kinda' show. Incidently, I love the Coach Cole bit. I laughed my ass off, twice.
