Ok, I read the discussion but I'm not getting much help, and as it's that time of the season, I need help mastering the Jack-O-Lantern trick, especially if I'm handing out candy =D I've practiced a few times, but I cant get it to stay lit longer than half a second or so. Any tips/hints/suggestions appreciated,

Keep on trying, and decrease the amount you breath in each time, decrease even just by a little if you're afraid of getting burnt.

Make sure you have a big fire. turn the lid match upside down after you have lid it to make it burn more.

inhale as slow as u can w/o burning yourself - you can keep it lit for a bit - but if it keeps going out on u - damn that cant be good for ya lol - that smoke sucks so bad when the match goes out in ur mouth =P

well, i failed in the execution in front of the audienc of other band members at the football game, it just always go out once i close my mouth on it, though it is just as impressive to light the match and hold the flame in your mouth without holding it in your teeth. I'll do whatever works. Speaking of which, i just ordered a copy of Brians book on fire eating from amazon, thats my next undertaking. =D

Before I got the book i pretty much knew what to do, how to do it etc. I looked this up for a long time, talking to many different people, and used the book as an extra... My only advice is to look in many places for information as you learn something new everywhere... The book is very useful to start with though. It just don't have "everything" seeing as you can't really write down all you will need to know without having a huge book... Oh 1 last word of advice... Stay OFF OF YOUTUBE for information... The guy on there, actually from expert village - is about a complete retard... Lol, just dont take his advice - if you have common sense you can tell hes wrong about a bit of stuff... i.e. he said about using toilet paper and floss - also he said that u can use loose fabric on a stick... ok this post is gettin a bit big so im shuttin up
