I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but are there any plans for showing the number of seeders and leechers for the bittorrent downloads of shows? I generally prefer downloading larger files through bittorrent, and I'm sure it would save Revision3 money in bandwidth costs. I'm not sure you'd integrate it into the site's current interface (maybe in the tooltip/alt text for the bittorrent icon?), but I think it would definitely encourage more people to go with the Bittorrent option rather than HTTP.

Advertising fees more than cover the cost of bandwidth from a direct download. Unaccountable downloading from a third party via bit-torrent actually removes revenue from Revision3. Encouraging this behavior is not recommended.

Who says it is unaccountable? You just count when someone goes from leecher to seeder (are you forgetting that Rev3 hosted their own tracker?)... in anycase, bittorrent service has been down awhile. Not to mention, IMO, they have more than enough bandwidth to feed whatever pipe you've got through their own site, i.e. you won't get faster downloads via bittorrent nor are you helping them save much money (as I'm sure they buy their bandwidth in mass bulks, 1 GB less isn't much of a difference)

"Unaccountable" qualifies the statement. I'm not sure the statement is true without the "unaccountable." I don't think Revision3 either hosts nor tracks torrent right now. So, any torrents right now not accounted for.

ah, you are referring to ANY torrent. I was referring only to the torrent tracker that Rev3 hosted itself.

I was only referring to those torrents that Rev3 couldn't account for. That specifically excludes torrents they track. Which, at this time, is none.

I think that the selection is still put on each entry
as a matter of the way in which their forms are still formatted with the new site design, they add content by basically filling in the 'blanks' in the hopes that later when the torrent issue is resolved the "fix" with be one that's global and retroactive on every page. If they were to say, omit that option, they'd have to go back to each occurance and change it back when the torrents came back on-line. I imagine that there is some legal end to all of this though, since they were viciously attacked by a group of people who really, really, needed to be sued.
