Default TweetDeck Alternative?

I love the interface of TweetDeck (multiple columns, URL shorten, TwitPic . . . all in one place) but it uses 150 MB of RAM, where as Twitterfic uses 1/10 of that but is just so.....small. Does anybody know of a beefed up Twitter App that won't bog my Mac down? There are so many out there, so I thought some recommendations could help me stumble through some of them. :P Thanks!!!

Safari?

Twitter is a web based service after all ... and if you keep a browser open most of the time, why not just leave twitter open in a tab??

That's the thing . . . I don't leave my browser open most of the time, and, with the desktop apps, I get instant refresh/notification with a little pop-up window while I'm working in another program (and Twitterific uses less RAM than Firefox/Safari). Plus, I don't have to go through pages and pages at a time on the web (I twitter/follow a whole bunch). :\ But thanks, anyway!

Wow, thanks!! Twhirl has a lot more features than Twitterific, but still uses less than half the memory of TweetDeck. Again, thank you so much!
