DIY shockmount alternative(s)

Hi, does anybody knows how to do a michophone shock mount without elastic or rubber band ? Why I ask that is because I have a blimp that it's shock mount is made with elastics suspentions, but these are really not durable. I've been replacing them a few times with other elastics and rubber bands, but no luck. So, I'm looking for an alternative (if possible, similar to those suspension pieces that comes with the Rycote Blimb). Any ideas ? Thanks to answer
