Default Cannot type a . info domain name

I was trying to mention the BBpedia in the Scam School forum at bbliveshow . info (without the spaces) and it censored out the ". info" part. I wasn't aware "dot-info" was a swear word.

.info domains are commonly used for scam/spam/malware sites, and we were getting an overly large number of people spamming links to them, so the decision was made to censor the .info sites so that they would not get a boost from SEO gaming engines.

Once this was done, the amount of spam from those sites dropped dramatically.

Unfortunately, legit .info sites got caught too, but the number of people linking to them was minimal.

I suggest that you cheat the system a little, and use a URL shortener (tr.im, bit.ly, etc) to change the URL and then embed it in the post instead.
