Default Perfect setup for another trick.

After you make them lose a few hands on this trick tell them that they are a horrible poker player. That they couldn't win if you let them pick any cards they want. Let them pick all five (usually they pick the royal flush) then you pick your five also a royal flush ask them if they would like to dis guard (they say no) and tell them they didn't beat you they tied you and they lose the bet. Then tell them you will let them win if they can tie you they just watched the trick and believe that they will win and agree. You pick up four tens and an ace. (they cant get a royal flush) they take four kings you dis guard three tens and the ace and take a ,nine ,eight ,seven ,six in the same suit. You have a ten high straight flush they can only get a nine high. You win again.

This trick works good, and sometimes too good. I've known some people to get so angry trying to prove that they can beat you that they want to bet money and sometimes they bet a lot of money.

Hmm neat trick but the fact you are only using 10 cards would seem suspicious and anyone with the least bit of intelligence wouldn't bet anything. Even under the influence of alcohol.

Good trick in principle, but I'm thinking the mixture of poker and funny rules would 'cause some of the people I know to back out instantly. I'm thinking what could work well is assert simple poker rules (No discards/swaps, 5 cards, best hand wins). And rig the cards 11-20 in the deck, That way cards 1-10 give them a fair game to start on, and the next hand - cards 11-20 are rigged. I think our opponents might work out that it's rigged though because you can't shuffle to well, which is of course the advantage of Brian's way. :/
I'll trial both Brian's way and the way I've described and report back! Though... I might use three rounds, it's a better number.

I liked this episode, especially because of the guest. Canadian video game show fans may recognize him as Jose Sanchez(aka Fubar) from Electric Playground and Reviews on the Run (as what many Americans may remember as Judgement Day, when it was still around). I didn't know he was going to be on, so that was a nice surprise (BTW INCYDK, you can watch him on http://www.elecplay.com and http://reviewsontherun.com whenever he is on[don't think there is any IP restrictions]). As for the actual trick, every damn episode you still make me wonder wtf you did, knowing very well you're going to reveal it in a few minutes, and then you blow my mind, and then everything seems so obvious. Its awesome! Oh and shwood, I enjoy watching you on TWiT, your an awesome guest.

Exclamation Re: Xibalba

Well actually Xibalba, if you control the ten cards you want to the top of the deck while you shuffle a pack of cards, then deal the controlled cards out, it wouldnt be suspicious at all. I did this trick a few times now, and it has worked every time w/o suspicious behavior

Who wouldn't want that damn King card!?
It calls to me! Even still! Maybe if I was paying better attention I would've noticed there was only 1 stinking King in the hand! Oh well, still pretty neat little trick indeed
