Ok, I have been outta the loop for months as I was red ringed. But, are there new cheats in COD4?
OK, this is the least but, I was nearly "hunted". OK, I can tick off some folks in chat and all and they may hunt me. I may have had a bad game and just got killed with in seconds of every respawn. It happens. But tonight, I was in the "Bog" stage and watched, at long distance, an enemy slides across the stage like he was sliding into second in Yankee Stadium. But, the entire 90 ft. I did kill the guy, but that is not part of the game right? I know of the hopping to outside of the map and sniping, I could deal with that as I work with cover. But the cheating seems to be worse. Should I abandon COD4? The game I have played most? The one that probably gave me those red rings to begin with? Is cheating in online gaming that bad? Thoughts. |

This is why I purchased a modded controler which hasn't really helped much. Except on left 4 dead which basically justified the purchase. Modded controller + left 4 dead = awesome. |

people that buy modded controllers need to die. I run in to those dbags all the time in CoD4 and it just pisses me off. Can't play the game with skill so you gotta use a cheap handicap to make yourself feel good. Don't play if you suck. Heck I wasn't that good at it at first. I'm into the 5th prestige now and I'm rocking. Patience is a virtue

Cheating in an online game is literally.. "I suck so bad at this game... I'm going to fuck up other people's enjoyment" .. there's no justification for it.
I'm not very good at FPS's. Halo is a pain in the ass to get into, new people just get picked off in seconds. So I stopped playing. COD and Left4dead on the other hand I found more fun so I stuck with it and after a few hours you start to get a little better. A few hours more you get better still and as you get to a 50:50 win/lose the fun goes through the roof. Play a few hours more and you get more wins than loses and you become that dick that you hated at the beginning and you are having even more fun. Like everything in life it just takes a bit of muscle memory and some time. The fun you think you have by cheating and skipping the hours isn't nearly as good a time as actually learning to play the game properly. I think I was playing Counter Strike one time, hardly ever played it before. I got into a one on one game with some guy who was pretty good. He was head shoting me every time with a sniper. I could have just given up and left but I stuck in there, he used me as target practice and I used him as training. For a few hours we played and in the end I worked out his patterns, got a bead on a gun I liked and we started to even out. It was the most fun I'd had since Goldeneye. Put the time in or get out! That's my moral of the day ![]() Last edited by joeyrock : 07-07-2009 at 05:21 PM. |

And dude, even if you learn to use that modded controller properly every kill you get won't be honest. Throw it away and learn the game the hard way. Last edited by totallyradroach : 07-07-2009 at 10:51 PM. |

I can not STAND cheating and glitching in online games.
However a modded controller I could care less about because I can still kill people who use them. |
