Although I'm still unhappy about Systm and I agree for a change with tokenuser that this is not the correct forum to bitch about it.
Locking a forum with peoples personal opinions goes against the freedom of speech that your country holds so dear. As moderators you have the right to move posts around to help the public but your job description doesn't cover censorship. The right thing to do is unlock the thread and move it to the general discussion's forum. Mike.

I honestly think that would not work. The root of the thread is on topic in AppJudgement, however when it devolved into the "we lost Systm for THIS" discussion it was kind of clear that there was no chance of it getting back on topic.

Although we usually indulge minor quibbling as part of the function of this forum. We usually like to corral threads when they get out of hand. Indeed, there is no expectation of free speech here. Mods are free to delete and alter any posts or threads when they feel they have grounds. Nevertheless, if you feel closings, deletions or edits are unjustified, there is an appeal process spelled out in the forum rules of conduct. This appeal process does not include making threads to complain. You can start by PMing Tokenuser and asking for his appeal. If you don't find satisfaction that way, forum admins at Revsion3 are more than happy to give moderation issues a fresh look. We usually defer to their judgment in all cases.
Ironically, the rules also state that creating such public threads to complain about moderation is forbidden.
