Aux Display & Clamshell mode

I have a 13.3 MacBook running Snow Leopard. I was able to use clamshell mode with my HDLCD TV; however, I changed the display settings and now my TV will not support the output from my laptop. The problem being in clamshell mode you cannot see the screen. How can I reset the setting for the Aux display?
