I figured this one out! I'm so proud of myself. But it's only the first one I was able to figure out, and mostly because I had already seen the static straw trick in a previous episode. So most people probably wouldn't figure that out. Great scam, though!

Damn, that looks tricky. umma have to try this one. Now I know my share of slightly below average intelligence, but I don't even think they'd take this bet with all the rules. Now suckers will be suckers, but sucker will not be morons. I don't think I'm getting too many beers off this one.

I did try to do the next weeks "episode" beforhand and put my laptop in the freezer...6 hours later it wont start, how come? :O

Hm... did you make sure to pour water on it first? You should really wait for the next episode to get the full method...

depends on your area. When I first practiced this in Austin (where the climate was pretty cool and dry), it worked great through a lead crystal glass... but when we did it in SF (humid on the water), all of a sudden it wouldn't work, and we needed a plastic clear cup instead.

just make sure to experiment with the materials you plan to use, and you should be good to go.

Hello there dirty scammers! I'm a newbie at the forum as u might have noticed. I've actually been challenged at this a few weeks ago and I was able to solve it in a funky way.
I grabbed another match stick, stuck it in a tight straw so I got some length, fired it up, got it close to the cup, shook it so the fire went off but it was still hot so i was able to burn through the plastic cup and just toss the other stick off.
English is not my mother tongue so sry if I do some mistakes ;p. Rly like the show, I've just watched some random episodes so far, gonna watch em all when I find some time .
