There's some excellent stuff here! Interesting to see what everyone else is up to...

We shot a short film that ended up being 30min last summer. The director kept with copyrighted music so we just have it on his production site for demo purposes and to raise funding for our next film (in the signature, yo!).

Anyway, it was a blast and the first production we'd done in years. Totally missed the family like environment that comes from all that impossible work.

I just made a short film called Me, Myself & I. It is not a narrative film but more of an Arty film with an interesting concept. I would be very appreciative if anyone were to watch it! It is shot with a Canon 600D.

Hi everyone,

Haven’t had a look at all the films here, but any I have looked at have been very impressive!

If you are looking for a good place to show off your films, I found a new website YourPictureHouse.com. I sent it onto FilmRiot to see if they would mention it on the show. It looks like it’s just newly launched, but what there is there is very impressive. Films are just linked from youtube, vimeo and viddler I think. You just update your account for FREE(!) to a publisher account and you can upload them. Seems like the developers check all the films before they go live, but my friend done it and it took them a matter of hours.

Go and have a look, and let me know if there is any similar service.

Hello there everyone. I am new here to Film Riot. I saw this thread where you could post your own shorts so I had to register and post to see what you guys think .

The first video I am posting is our love letter to the 1930's style horror film.

The second film I am posting is one I made for a 48 hour film competition I started a few months back. I got together with a group of friends and we all set off to make our own short films within that time. Mine was a science fiction film. It has a lot of similarities with the "Meet Dave" Prometheus promo and that video was released around the same time so that might have inspired me. Either way hope to hear from you all.....

Hey Guys this was a 6min short film we made for the 48 hour film project for Providence 2012.

All feedback and comments are welcomed and greatly appreciated.

A technique that Film Riot taught us that we used was bouncing light off of a sheet. We felt that a white sheet made the scene way to bright so we used a grey one that made it perfect.
