Default Wifi Tool

The application Chanalyzer Lite for the Mac is free. But!!!! It requires you to have one of their Wi-Spy USB RF sniffing devices. The cheapest of which is $99.

Does anyone have another application that will work similarly with the built in Airport card hardware?

For what its worth, if I'm not mistaken the PC version has the same hardware requirement.

And although I hope someone points us both to an application that can do the same thing with a wifi card, its very unlikely. The Chanalyzer sniffing devices are designed to receive every signal in a given band. Wifi cards are designed to work with, obviously, only wifi signals...it will not detect anything from non-wifi devices.

Yeah I understand the issues with not having the hardware I mainly want the detailed graph and as much detail that's available in the spectrums the AP card supports.

Default At the risk of being called a stalky fanboy...

Thumbs up on the hair color, Veronica.

If you ever wanted to go the full redhead, you have the complexion for it. You'd be a supercute redhead. Don't stand too close to Felicia Day, however. The universe might collapse into a cuteness singularity.

Okay, back to discussing routers.
