Looking for advice- PacketiX setup

So, I'm currently living abroad and trying to figure out a way to access all the things I would be able to access back home. I have no access to Youtube, Facebook, or Twitter as main examples. That said I was pointed in the direction of PacketiX and upon download I was expecting some sort of user friendly setup guide. I found it to be way over my head and I don't really know what to do and further reading of the technical aspects of their online manual, I have no comprehension of what it means and how I apply what they are telling me. If this is the wrong forum for this board, I apologize but I wasn't exactly sure where to post. Requesting a discussion with anyone who is familiar with this free program regarding its setup and general use for this idiot who can't make up from down. Thank you!
