Default Logitech G51 woes

I have had this set for 1 year (to the day). My front right speaker began to not play audio this afternoon. I trouble-shot the problem down to the subwoofer (which acts as the speaker receiver) is not outputting audio through the front-right speaker output. I called Logitech customer support and they say they no longer make this set, they are offering to replace it with a different model, but the model they want to send me is crap. It's not a horrible system, but it would be a huge downgrade from what I have right now. So, does anyone either know of a place that sells just the subwoofer? or does anyone have a recommendation for a new receiver that has RCA audio outputs as well as a good sub to go along with it?

How did ypu test them?

The way I would go about testing them is iPod, into inputs and see what comes out. Also, I notice that the control for those speakers has various different things on it, what are the chances that one has mysteriously set it's self the zero?

Default control pod

the control pod is not the issue. i plugged the speaker into another port (the front left) and it had sound come out of it.

That seems logical, I think you should read what you wrote.

Default ok?

yeah i plugged the front right speaker into the front left port on the sub, sound came out of it so i know that the speaker itself isnt blown. then when i plug it into the front right port nothing comes out. therefore, the port is not putting out any data.

nope, the controller doesnt have the ability to mute the front speakers...even if that were the case how would muting the front speakers allow sound to come out of the front left but not the front right?

I's a feature, not a bug . For fun, swap the input from the front and rear speakers, that is to say, plug the orange jack in to the green plug, and visversa.

you mean plug the speakers into alternate ports...i believe i said i already did that.
and this set does not have that as a feature. are you sure you're not confusing this with the super expensive x or z series? this does not have control over volume of individual speakers, nor does it have the "feature" to mute the front right speaker and not the front left, nor the feature to mute just the front speakers. there are volume controls for the sub, the surround, and the center channel speakers, and none of them are turned down or muted

My point is that I had a similar problem with a speaker that I thought was the amp in the sub, but it turned out to be a dodgy jack connector on the motherboard (which is worse).
