Unwritten Vol. 1, collecting the first 5 issues of the excellent Vertigo series, goes on sale today at your LCS for only $9.99. It filled the Y-the last man sized hole in my heart and it is the best new series I read in 2009. It is about a guy named Tom Taylor, who's the basis of a Harry Potter-like book series character, Tommy Taylor, written by his father. The story takes a Fables-like direction, but instead of trying to be clever it actually is.
