I'm definitely in the Harmony camp...if it won't work with my Harmony remote, it won't be coming in to my house. I enjoy being able to see the top of my end table again because its not covered with remotes.
I'm going to need more convincing on 3DTV. For a movie I'd maybe be willing to wear colored or shuttered glasses the whole time. But for "every day" viewing, no. I don't usually just sit and watch TV. Nine times out of ten there will be a laptop in the chair with me and I'm working while I'm watching. Having to wear special glasses to watch the TV makes that impossible. And there's also the problem that current 3D glasses usually give me headaches after 30 minutes or so of using them. Oh, forgot to mention...I'm going to be curious to see what the FCC has to say about that cellphone femtocell. And I have a feeling that what they say is not going to be warm and friendly. 3D HDTV could be nice..here is what I posted about it on Veronica's FB though:
Quote:
I know I could stay hooked up and sell them power and have reliability but would be nice to not have that dangerous power line running at all..besides I could have a backup gen in case of issues..who knows maybe I will be able to do this in the next 5 years or so..someday I would love to live in a somewhat remote area the only downside I see to that is not having a hard line connection to the net plus I would have to find a source of some kind to power a fuel cell..oh well hydrogen part of water so if there was a inexpensive way to get it out that might solve that issue..anyways the tech isn't quite there yet but I see it coming... Awesome show, I like when you guys have lots of cool stuff to show us poor folks who dont get to go to CES (even though I live within a few hours driving distance).
I did get a little annoyed at times when you were trying to talk at the same time, though. I understand you guys are excited about all the cool stuff too but it gets pretty hard to follow on a mono audio mix. By the way, Femtocells are nothing new, I've seen small GSM/CDMA base stations for home/office use before. It IS the first time that I see one that's that small, though -- the ones I've seen are the size of a router. I think the problem is going to be whether your wireless provider is going to let you "roam" to your femtocell with your regular subscription. ===Jac |

Very professional delivery with all the content.
The average American will not be able to afford 3d. Especially with the economy. I would not want one if for no other reason of being afraid of being robbed.. I still watch a 5 inch analog b&w tv with dtv converter in the man cave. We do have color tv's, but there is so much video available via the web, I see no reason to have a tv where a computer is. Besides we have mythtv dvrs. I love the Magicjack.with a wifi enabled nettop, you have free phone service virtually anywhere. in north America even with the standard Magicjack. No need for a cellphone from the greedy phone companies. My brother has ordered a Roku box, but I am not sure which one though. With all the new 'puters coming out I am glad I waited. My oldest machines are starting to drop like flies. Now might be a good time to re-read thx1138. |

I love the coverage that Revision3 shows (Tekzilla, HD Nation, HAK5) have done, but this is one of those events where it would be better to see a LIVE STREAM broadcast! Most of the stuff that was covered, I've already seen videos of elsewhere. I know you put out some daily videos, but playing thru the short (just over a minute in most cases) videos of just one piece of tech is just plain annoying! Please don't misunderstand me, any other shows you do, I know you do it for better production for the show, but certain events would demand a live stream. Just MHO.
I've already have expressed my views about 3D HD TV on HD Nation. Just to sum up my thoughts about what I said there, I won't be getting 3D HD TV. |

Can you be more specific? What version are you trying? Are you downloading or streaming? Through iTunes or other RSS reader or set top box or...? We need as many details as possible.

Please have someone from Revision3 look into an issue me and some other people are having. If you go to Revision3.com Support forum, there is a thread labeled, "Can't get HD to stick". I have tried this with Firefox, IE8, and Google Chrome and get the same results btw.
