I take it you're using an HV40 for your recent episode(s). What puzzles me is how it has true 1080p at 30fps so there is no reason the episode should be interlaced.

Even odder, the interlace is following an off-on pattern which looks like a pulldown like 3:2 might fix the issue but I've never seen a home camera that is partially interlaced like TV broadcast material.

Am I the only one noticing this?

Maybe film riot should do an episode on interlace and how to properly deinterlace if needed. It looks like someone could learn a thing or two...
