Cool AMVs

Roy brought up AMVs in Episode 7, and then I stumbled upon a really good one and figured "Hey, why not post it up on ATV!" and perhaps you guys know of some other good ones as they can sometimes be hard to come across (the good ones anyways). OR maybe you've made your own like Roy is doing! Post 'em all here!

Here's the one I found, scenes from Kodomo no Omocha which translates into it's English title Child's Toy set to the William Tell Overture!

That clip reminded me of Looney Tune's "Rabbit of Seville". Yes, I learned all my Instrumental/Opera music from Looney Tunes. I think this is also the reason why I am one of the few around here who likes Bo-Bo-Bo Bo Bo-BoBo. Looney Tunes has scarred me for life.

I've always had an interest in AMVs, however unfortunately the life of a freelancer doesn't lend itself to really exploring that avenue of creativity very often. I did manage to sit down and do one during March of 2008 and do a quick AMV for Otakon's contest that year. It made it to the finals, but didn't win any awards. I hope to one day get the chance to revisit AMV making, but I think at this point I would be more interested in doing original animation more than the traditional fare of simply creatively editing existing scenes.



I originally envisioned this as a sort of "fan trailer" for the series, but overall it was mostly meant to test the waters of my AMV editing abilities.

Here's a Eureka Seven AMV with the song Sunlight by Natalie Imbruglia. The video does show some spoilers for those who haven't seen the anime (which you should, what's wrong with you?!) but for those who have, this AMV is excellent, captures the emotions of the anime perfectly. Doesn't hurt that it has some amazing editing. I LOVE this video!

Most definitely. I really don't have anywhere else I feel I can fit in and talk about anime. I'm liking how the show is developing. You'll find that once I become a fan, I'm a very loyal fan. I doubt you'll get rid of me very easily.

I hope to hear more input and ideas about what you can bring to the table/discussion, especially in the episodes to come, as you have seen or read, we try to incorporate as much as possible.

All that is left is to finally win over rdpillz, ojimaru, and daeyeth.

P.S. Be sure to be on the lookout for my AMV's I am hoping for a Fanime con premiere, but I think I can push for a preview on the forums in the future.
