Default Episode 45 - March Woes

Damn! I seriously look forward to Film Riot every week. It some how makes things "all better".
It sucks that everything went for a..... number 2, but at least you posted something to let us know. I appreciate that.

Thanks for all the work you put into the show, I hope you stay around and Film Riot stays going strong.

I used to be a big fan of IndyMogul, but it's gone WAY down hill, and although I still watch it, I think it's becoming pretty irrelevant.

What I like about Film Riot, aside from the entertainment aspect, is that the episodes are typically universally useful. The problem with IndyMogul, is they have abandoned that element, and now just focus mainly on recreating hollywood films (spider man, x-men, etc.)
and sure, it can be ok at times, but how are we, the viewer supposed to use that? If we went out and made a movie using any of that, we'd be charged with copyright lawsuits... yeah team!

The episodes of Film Riot, however, provide a knowledge that is practical.
I appreciate this, because I live in a rural area and can't afford film school.
Film Riot provides me with education that I would otherwise be struggling to obtain.

Thanks again,
and I hope everything works out with your computer (I lost my laptop during an edit for someones music video... NOT a fun thing to have happen)

Too bad to hear about the computer problems. Might I suggest making backups though? If this sort of thing seems to happen on a regular basis it would make sense to have something that for instance makes a copy of your data overnight. With esata of fw800 you can shift even pretty vast quantities of data so raw video shouldn't be a problem.

Anyway, good luck and I'm looking forward to the extra long episode in the near future.

I was thinking the same thing why the hell wouldn't you have backup, any videographers I know have crap ton of back-ups.

Not that im haten on the guy I love the show and shit happens, but thats kinda crazy thing not to use.

"This episode of Film Riot was eaten by my dog. NO REALLY! I'M CEREAL."

We believe you Ryan. BUT don't think we aren't going to bust you if on the next episode we find anachronistic things like an April 1st newspaper or Josh's voice finally dropping .

I'm watching you, mister!

Exclamation Need new friends

You guys freagin suck! I canceled appts and sat in front of my monitor most of the day waiting for a new episode. Then I thought, "Oh, wait! I've got a blackberry so I can just watch it mobile while I drive in heavy traffic in the rain!" I kept hitting page reload and ignoring incoming calls. I'm switching to webzeroes. I need some new friends.

Not sure how many machines Ryan has, but maybe he was rendering the show overnight and had a failure?

Because Ryan produces the show in FL and Rev3 is in San Fransisco, CA. Additionally, Ryan's company isn't owned by Rev3, separate operations.
