It's playing here in Japan right now. There are posters EVERYWHERE. I really want to see it but movies here are about $20 a ticket AND I don't understand Japanese well enough to really get it. So, I think I'm going to wait. Plus, I think Johnny does such an amazing and fantastic job as Vash, I really want to see it dubbed.

I really hope so! This is one of those rare occasions where the dub was as good if not better. I have bene waiting for this movie for a good 4 years now! Funi has the rights to the series now and I'm pretty sure they will release the series as a box set soon around when they release the movie here in the U.S.

Funimation would have to be stupid not to bring back the original cast. I recently read an interview of the creator of trigun and director of the movie. This movie is for the fans here since Trigun was not a huge sucess in Japan.

I had no idea that Trigun was not hugely popular in Japan. Trigun is one of my favorite anime series. Vash is just an awesome character --- what can I say?

However, I never did get Nicholas Wolfwood. I've seen anime where preachers have guns and can fight with the best of them, but I just think a fighting preacher is just too strange of a concept.

Of all the characters Wolfwood is my favorite of them all. In the manga he has much more of a role to play and get ridiculously strong. Also you find out a lot more about his past in the manga. If you read Trigun Maximum then you will understand a lot more of why he is the way he is. The anime is great and I love it. It's better then the manga but the manga explains a lot of things that the anime just never got to.

So, when I read this I may have gotten a little excited, and by that I mean I MAY HAVE DANCED.

Seriously awesome. I just hope it doesn't take a couple of years for it to make it's way to DVD/Blu-Ray so I can purchase it many times over.

The manga is good but It does get very confusing and a bit weird at the end.
