This is so bad-ass, and the perfect palate-cleanser after Shyamalan's abomination of a film.

And although it's kind of upsetting that the original gAang are all probably dead there's always the hope for flashback cameos. Possibly even Aang being Korra's spirit guide like Roku was for him.

So, Korra will be a Southern Water Tribe girl who is hotheaded, independent and "ready to take on the world.". In other words ... Katara 2.0.

Katara was brave but the rest of the stuff sounds more like Toph.

THis sounds amazing. I expect we'll see at least SOME of the gAang. 100 years into the future may have been tough to pull off, but 70 years? I can totally see a wizened old Sokka, Toph, or Katara showing up. CAN'T WAIT!!

'Ready to take on the world' might not be quite accurate, but she was definitely hotheaded (especially in book 1) and independent. IMO Korra pretty much sounds like Katara without the maternal instincts.

I just hope we get to see Sokka as a crusty old Water Tribe king, or something like that.

It'll be very interesting to see the original characters 70 years later, especially Toph. For some reason, I just can't picture her old. I'm also wondering what spirit form Aang will look like. All of the other spirit form Avatars seemed to be different ages, so I'm not sure what their rule is about that.

Man I can't wait to see this! I am assuming they will explain what happened to Aang at some point, which would be good. I am pretty interested in this steam punk city that it seems it will be set in.
