All the positive feedback so far is coming from accounts that are brand new, maybe they got their previous listeners on to this topic.

actually i just talked to the guys, they havent checked anything. These are people that are new to the Rev3 community. So what is wrong with that again? Bringing new people and new fans over here? Isnt that the entire point of trying to launch a new show?

The community aspect of this place should be one that is open and welcoming to the expansion of thier own brand. Bringing in new shows with fresh faces certainly will help the exposure of Rev3 and the rest of the shows.

Just from what you guys were talking about before I am interested in looking up some of the other products the Rev3 offers.

You should be ecstatic that a new product can bring forth new fans, not questioning the sincerity behind it.

I did like the thought of the interactive feature actually but however when this show gets archived for later viewing, I feel that feature will become something that will date the show and something that would become annoying if I wanted to catch up with it.

I don't feel what the show is about suits Rev3 when there is other shows that already cover what this show supposedly doing. You can see why I would be been Rev3 to spend their money on something else rather than producing something that already there.
and being biased makes my opinion on liking the show null and void?

Yet again, you are positive about this show because you have followed these people before the live show was broadcast. I never turn down more people coming to Rev3 and improving the ratings of the other shows, however I feel that is not the only point of launching a new show and another point should be on Rev3 that it something that it doesn't current cater for.

I agree with this along the new shows don't replace shows that I currently watching and if it does replace a show, have the same quality, this show doesn't as of yet.

I am not currently ecstatic about it, but its not because I don't want the new fans.

i legitimately dont see this replacing anything right now. As you guys had said before that Coop had gone off the air. This seems more of a response to that than anything else. If it were to replace something, it would tend to be more down the line if a show was coming to an end and this show had built itself up more following wise and polish wise.

I just dont want something taken away so quickly from guys who have been waiting patiently for an opportunity like this because everyone is worried that they will dump their favorite show for something new. It just seems like a kneejerk reaction.

I can understand why you are defending them and I being a media student would love a opportunity to work on a crew like that. But Rev3 wanted our honest reaction to the show after we have watched it which I did.

I have to admit, live shows seem to be the hardest to do. The ability to edit, prune, and streamline a show can give it a more polished feel than something live, no matter HOW well the live show is done.

That said, I thought this was a really great live show. I can understand the knee jerk reaction of comparing it to CO-OP, but while it was pointed out to some of these guys that you can't be unbiased if you've followed them, you also can't be unbiased if you're a fan of CO-OP. If that's the case, nothing will be as good.

But if you look at it from a purely "new" aspect, this is a great first show, of which I'm sure it'll just get better. Could I have done without a stalker cam? Sure. But I'm sure as these guys and their quirky humor are given a shot to blossom and bloom, they'll be able to showcase some even better stuff. If we clunked everything out the gate, we never would have had Seinfeld.

I think there was definitely enough good in there to warrant some more stuff. I, for one, want to see more, and hope that they get an opportunity to continue to show MORE shows for us to comment on the body of work.

Great job to James and Mark, who really worked well together. Haters gotta hate, but don't let that get you down. I'll definitely be keeping an eye around for a next episode, and I'll make sure some of my buddies tune in as well!

I have worked on live shows that are admittedly worse quality than this, I give you my vimeo url if you PM me. I am not saying the live show wasn't skilled, I know I am currently not at a point to produce a show of that standard.

And for anybody who is wondering, I haven't been a fan of CO-OP but I knew of the quality that the show had. And you look at this thread you see that that live version of CO-OP bombed aswell, and what people didn't like in that format seems to be the same with this show. I would of thought Rev3 would of noticed the feedback in there.

The Best Damn Nerd Show was pretty interesting. Out of word of mouth referral, I was inclined to visit Rev3 and check it out. I can't say that I was disappointed in the least. The round table format was awesome. The topics (Star Wars!!) were perfect. I'll definitely check out future broadcasts. Thank you Rev3 for allowing me to watch it!
