photo name randomizer

I take a lot of photos and when I transfer they come with each randomized names but some times when I try and add more photos later on there would be loads of problems because there are a lot that have the same names,

So I’m looking for a piece of free software that can take a ton of photos and give them new randomized names,

Is there anything out there like that hope someone can help.

Do they have to be random? All you need to do is make sure that no two photos have the same name.

Personally, I like Irfanview. It's a free lightweight photo viewer but also a swiss army knife type tool. It has a batch converter/renamer (you can choose to do either or both). You can tell it to rename everything to (for instance) image#### where #### is a number starting with 0001 and ending at 9999.

So I tried it out works perfectly I no longer worrie about conflicting file names
